Our students recently participated in a WORLD OF MATHS INCURSION, providing students the opportunities, experiences and insight into problem solving, working in teams, and to explore various mathematic concepts which are part of their curriculum this term. It will also enable students to continue to work on building productive maths dispositions. Productive dispositions are mindsets and behaviours that shape the way students engage and experience maths tasks and challenges. Examples of this can include persisting with tasks or being willing to make mistakes. These dispositions can support learning across all areas of the curriculum.
Hands-on activities have many benefits for students. And it’s not just about reinforcing maths concepts – our activities encourages participation, boosts confidence and sparks a love of learning.
