As part of the integrated focus in Animal Science this Term, Grade 3/4 students had the opportunity to experience Healesville Animal Sanctuary on Tuesday 5th December, 2017.

The students (and teachers) had a spectacular day out, gaining an insight into the natural habitats of many of the endangered animals they presented to their class.

Some of the highlights of the day included:

  • The tales from Platypus Creek experience
  • The ‘Birds of Prey’ spectacular
  • Close up encounters of the ring-tailed possum, the helmeted honey-eater and the dingoes.
