The beginning of the year is the perfect time to discuss how to select a “Just Right” book. These books can then be used for independent reading. In order to effectively do this, students need to be able to describe the features of a book that is too hard for them as well as a book that is too easy. Once they have done this they are able to successfully identify the features of a “Just Right” book. 3/4W created this easy to use table that is displayed in class.
