Belle Vue Primary School is building strong FOUNDATIONS!
We pride ourselves on offering a successful pre-school to primary school transition program.
We understand that starting Prep is an important step for your family and have programs in place to ensure a smooth transition. We are committed to working with you to ensure a positive start to your child’s schooling.
Prep Transition Program for 2027 Students
Term 1:
School Tours:
We welcome the opportunity to show you what Belle Vue has to offer you and your child, and we extend an invitation to all parents/carers considering a quality educational environment for their children to contact the school to arrange a personalised school tour.
During these tours, you will have the opportunity to visit our classrooms to get a feel for our school and see our school in action. You will also meet our school principal, Andrew Wood, and will be able to ask any questions you may have about our school.
School Tours are usually held each Tuesday at 9.30am or by appointment. We also have evening school tours in Term 1 and 2, between 5.45pm and 6.30pm. Please complete the from below to book a school tour with our Principal.

Term 2:
- Contact our school 03 9859 6123 or Book a Tour via our website to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process. Click here to Book a Tour online
- Download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (available by 20 April 2026). This pack includes an application form, which you can also request from our school.
- Submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 31 July 2026.
- You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 3 August and Friday 14 August 2026. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should the accept the offer by Friday 28 August 2026.
- Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2026.
- Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Thursday, 28 January 2027.
Enrolment applications submitted after 31 July 2026 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.
Term 1 and Term 2

#2 Friday May 8th (3.30pm – 4.00pm)
Open Evening:
TUESDAY MAY 5TH 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
A great introduction to the wonderful aspects of our programs. After a presentation, our teachers will be on hand to chat with you. Don’t miss this chance to learn more about our school, and what we can offer your child over their seven years at Belle Vue Primary School.

Education Week: Tuesday 19th – 21ST May 2026
A fantastic opportunity to visit the school and see our classes in action. Current parents, students and teachers will be available to discuss their experiences of our school. We highly recommend coming along and getting involved in our community during Education Week.
Term 3:
School Tours continue as we finalise enrolments throughout the term. Call us now to check dates and book your tour on 9859 6123.

Term 4:
Our Belle Vue Bumble Bees’ Orientation Program begins for enrolled 2026 Prep students.
In these sessions, your child will participate in primary school life. During one of the first sessions, they are greeted by the Prep teachers for 2026 and receive a showbag of school “goodies”. Your child will complete part-day and full day sessions.
One of the most valued parts of our program is our Grade 5/Prep Buddies Program. Your child is allocated their Grade 5 buddy, who remains in that relationship with them in Prep and Grade 1. Our Prep students develop a supportive and comfortable relationship with their Buddy which can be maintained over the next two years.
Our Bumble Bees program will be held on the following dates:
#1 Thursday November 5 (2.30pm – 3.15pm)
#2 Thursday November 12 (2.15pm – 3.15pm)
#3 Thursday November 19 (9am – 10.30am)
#4 Thursday November 26 (Full Day)*
* A parent information session about the 2027 year will be held on Thursday November 26th from 2.20pm – 3.00pm. This will be run by Clare Woodhouse and include important information for all parents. We hope to see you there!
