MAPLE OUR THERAPY DOG

Maple is a fully qualified therapy dog trained through Therapy Animals Australia. Her intensive preparation focused on building calm, predictable responses in busy school environments. Maple supports students across the school by helping them self-regulate, settle into learning and feel safe during challenging moments.

Maple has quickly become a favourite member of Belle Vue Primary School community, loved by staff, students and the family community. Students enjoy her gentle presence and staff value the positive impact she brings to classroom climate and wellbeing. Her calm nature, predictable routines and strong connection with students and staff make her a steady support across the school.

Maple visits us regularly with her Handler Lisa, where students visit for structured sessions that build confidence, communication and emotional awareness. Maple also works closely with Ms Stacey Paterson in her Wellbeing and Mental Health Leader role. Together they guide students through routines that strengthen responsibility, independence and positive engagement.
