Recently Belle Vue celebrated Book Week! We held a special book day, which saw students dress up as their favourite book character.
In the morning we all came together to parade our wonderful costumes! It was a beautiful morning and it was great to see many students and teachers really getting into their character!
Then throughout the day students were involved in rotational activities, exploring all the Children’s Book Council of Australia 2019 shortlisted books. This saw students doing all sorts of fun and engaging activities!
To finish the day, we enjoyed a fun-filled performance called ‘Big Dreams’. The performance incorporated some of the CBCA 2019 shortlisted books. It explored the theme of having courage to face negative thoughts and promote students to pursue their ambitions. With music, humour and student interaction, all students were very engaged in the performance.
Overall it was a fantastic day and we can’t wait for next year already!
