On Monday this week, our staff engaged in important professional learning through the Berry Street Education Model (BSEM), with a particular focus on the Character Domain. This learning is helping us strengthen how we support students to build resilience, self-awareness, and the personal strengths they need to thrive both at school and beyond.
The Character Domain is about recognising and fostering the unique strengths of each student, helping them to see themselves as capable, valued, and connected learners. Through this work, we are developing strategies to:
By embedding the BSEM Character Domain into our teaching and learning practices, we are ensuring that Belle Vue students not only achieve academically, but also develop the character and confidence to be compassionate, responsible and lifelong learners. We look forward to continuing this journey, by weaving this learning into our classrooms, we’re supporting students to grow not just academically, but also as kind, capable and connected young people.
What a fantastic celebration of talent, teamwork and community spirit we enjoyed at last week’s school performance. Our students shone brightly on stage, showcasing their creativity, confidence and hard work. A heartfelt thank you to our staff for their dedication in bringing the production to life, and to our families for the incredible support along the way. It was truly a whole-school effort, and we couldn’t be prouder of what our community achieved together.
Congratulations to all our students who recently took part in the ICAS assessments. This program gives students the opportunity to challenge themselves in a range of subject areas and showcase their skills beyond the classroom. We are so proud of their effort, persistence and enthusiasm in representing Belle Vue. Well done to all who participated! We look forward to our final assessment tomorrow.
Ms Sarah Sambell (56S) will be on Long Service leave for the last 3 weeks of Term 3 and we wish her safe travels with her family and we look forward to her return in Term 4.
