Principal’s Update 1 August

Dear Belle Vue Families,

We hope this message finds you well and that your family has had a positive and productive start to Term 3. It’s been wonderful to see our students return with energy, enthusiasm, and a readiness to learn. Already, we’ve seen some fantastic classroom work, rich discussions, and joyful engagement in all corners of the school.

This term brings a range of exciting learning opportunities, enrichment programs, and community events that we are eager to share with you. A few highlights to look forward to include:

We are delighted to have Will joining 34A and Omar joining 56G. We know our wonderful Belle Vue community will make them feel right at home as they settle into school life with us.

FAREWELL MS BRUCE

If you haven’t already heard, our much-loved staff member Ms Annette Bryce will be leaving Belle Vue Primary School to take up an exciting new role as Business Manager at Syndal South Primary School. While this is a fantastic opportunity for Annette, it is certainly sad news for us. She will be deeply missed by students, staff, and families alike. Annette has been an integral part of the Belle Vue community for 20 years, and her impact is immeasurable.

To celebrate her time with us and wish her well, we will be holding a farewell assembly on Friday 8 August at 2.45pm in the BER. We warmly invite families to attend and help us give Annette the send-off she deserves.

100 DAYS OF PREP CELEBRATION

This Friday, we are celebrating 100 Days of Prep – a wonderful and important achievement for our youngest leaders at Belle Vue! To mark this special milestone, our Friday assembly will begin a little earlier at 2.35pm. We look forward to acknowledging this joyful moment with our Prep students and their families.

NAPLAN RESULTS 2025

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our students and staff for our 2025 NAPLAN results, which I am very proud of. All of our results are above the State Averages, and the tables below demonstrate an increase in the percentage of students achieving Exceeding or Strong. These results highlight the significant and sustained effort and professional learning for staff in reading, writing and numeracy to improve the outcomes for our students. These have been the specific areas that we have targeted as part of our previous and current Annual Implementation Plans.
