Principal’s Update 21 March

Neurodiversity Celebration Week from Monday the 17^th of March to Sunday the 23^rd of March is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences and celebrates the strengths and talents of people who think and learn differently.  It aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, universities, organisations, and others around the world with the opportunity to recognise the many skills and talents of neurodivergent individuals, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual. At Belle Vue, we are committed to understanding, including and celebrating our diverse learners and value the contribution they and their families make to our school. It also reminds us of the importance of being kind, accepting and inclusive of everyone.

To mark Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we would like to share some resources that support inclusion that have been developed for the Department of Education by organisations and lead researchers in neurodiversity:
