Out of School Hours Program

Belle Vue Primary School Out of School Hours Care Program is managed by CAMP AUSTRALIA and addresses the need for reliable consistent, high quality care for primary age school children, from Belle Vue Primary School in the local area.
The Out of School Hours Care program offers children a place to play, to relax and to participate in new experiences in a safe, caring and stimulating environment which is appropriate for school age children.
The structure of the program is child centred. It includes indoor and outdoor activities. The program consists of regular and planned activities. Organised activities are provided by staff and children are free to participate if they wish.

The program is an important service for parents in pursuit of employment and training and the well being of children outside school hours.


Objectives

The Belle Vue Primary School Out of School Hours Care Program aims to:

· provide quality care and recreational activities for primary aged children.
· provide a safe, relaxed, pleasurable and homely atmosphere for the children.
· provide a range of stimulating activities which are designed to suit individual and group needs.
· provide an atmosphere where staff, parents and children can work effectively and cooperatively.
· ensure that the programs rules and policies are adhered to.


Operational Structure

The program operates every school day from 7.30 am to 8.45 am and from 3.30 pm until 6.15 pm.
On days of early dismissal (usually the last day of term) the program will commence at a time to coincide with the school finishing time.
The Out of School Hours Care program is held in the multipurpose hall and kitchen, with use of other school facilities as required. 
The program operates on curriculum days or other pupil free days from 7:30am to 6.15pm.
