Information and Communication Technology

Belle Vue Primary School has ensured that all students and staff are provided with access to the latest computer technology resources and appropriate training. The school has computer access for all students in their classrooms. Additionally, we have a computer laboratory, where all students from Year Prep to 6 participate in weekly formal lessons aimed at developing skills in, and knowledge of information technology. We have recently installed interactive whiteboards into every classroom.

The Department of Education has developed a secure system for Primary schools to access the internet and use email. Belle Vue makes use of this system through the VicOne network. Students learn to use the computers, multi-media, scanners, digital cameras and appropriate software as tools or resources in supporting their classroom activities and work requirements.
