Visual Arts Program

Belle Vue Primary School places great importance on student participation in an effective arts program. We have a visual arts teacher providing a weekly program for all grades. The opportunities for children to develop their artistic skills provides an important foundation for many creative endeavours. The provision of a well-equipped art / craft centre as the focal point for our visual arts program encourages staff and students to participate fully in this area of cultural understanding and appreciation.

Student work is displayed throughout the school. Students, and their parents, appreciate this opportunity to share their achievements with everyone and demonstrates the way student’s work is highly valued and respected at Belle Vue.

In 2008 we held our first Art Exhibition as a celebration of Visual Arts. This was a formal evening in which families were invited to attend and view the range of Art works created by our students. We also introduced the Art Auction in 2008. This event involved the auctioning of one work of Art for each class. Every child had input into the creation of the Art works. As from 2009 we intend to combine both events.


Instrumental Music Program

All students have access to instrumental music lessons each week. We have expert tutors in:
·  Piano & Keyboard
·  Woodwind
·  Brass
·  Guitar
Lessons are held in the school each week. A fee applies to these programs. Program details and contacts for the music teachers are available from the office.

Staff also coordinate our Choir, Recorder Group and Dance Club.

All students at Belle Vue Primary School are provided with the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive, balanced curriculum from Prep to Year 6. Other features of our school’s program include:
