On Wednesday 16th of March we celebrated Multicultural Day. In the morning we had a parade to look at everyone’s fantastic traditional clothing and then we broke into groups to do lots of different activities such as playing games, learning about different countries and their traditions and cooking activities.
One of the activities that we enjoyed today was learning about henna. Henna is used for lots of different reasons and it takes a lot of time for it to be applied. It takes six hours for one half of an arm to be decorated for a wedding!
We had some henna-style artworks drawn onto our hands with eye pencils. We also designed our own henna artworks on paper.
Take a look at some of our fantastic work next time you pass 1/2 D (room 3).
